Beagle training tips are extremely useful to beagle puppy owners. When you own a beagle puppy, you realize why this advice is so important. As cute and sweet as they are, beagle puppies are very rowdy, often disobedient, and quite mischievous little creatures. With a good dose of patience, and the right beagle training tips, you can ensure that your new friend learns the essentials and becomes an agreeable part of your family.

Beagle Training Tip 1:

Beagles love to eat, but some individuals are more fussy than others about what food they'll eat. However, if you can get your dog to love his or her food, you'll have created a special bond with your pet. Try many different kinds of food, but remember to always introduce a new food gradually to avoid upsetting your pup's stomach.

Beagle Training Tip 2:

When you keep things interesting for your dog, he or she will be much more likely to pay attention and want to learn. Use lots of different training props that you only bring out during training time. By bringing in a ball, a dog bone, a hoop, and other elements that your dog finds entertaining, he or she will look forward to training time because that is the only time when those toys are available.

Beagle Training Tip 3:

Beagle puppies are ready to begin training at a very early age. As young as five weeks old, beagles are already eager to please their owners and begin trying to learn what is desired of them.

Beagle Training Tip 4:

Send the right message to your beagle by being firm in your commands, but praising when it is deserved. Your puppy should neither be spoiled nor bullied. The happiest puppy has a clear idea of what you expect f him or her and receives adequate praise when he or she has performed appropriately.

Beagle Training Tip 5:

You need to always remain patient with your beagle. They can be very stubborn, so you need to always stay just a bit more stubborn than they are. Try to make things as fun for the both of you as you can. Even in intense training sessions, you should still give your dog a break every ten minutes to play and have a bit of fun. This will prevent both of you from becoming overly frustrated.

My beagle puppy mix is 8 weeks old and has learned to go outside, but still pees in her room and even in her crate. What can I do to stop this?

She is only 8 weeks old. She is still a baby. Just be patient it will come in time. In another month or so she wont no longer be urinating in her space.

Michelle, I have a 6 yr old beagle recovering inside. Never been inside and she has never pottied in the house. When your puppy's nose is fully developed she will not like the smell and choose to go else where!
